Values

Our values

Originally curious

  • We stay hungry for what we do not yet know, especially about trades we have never worked in.
  • Humble enough to admit how much we do not know, confident enough to test received wisdom ourselves.
  • We take the time to teach what we know, to each other and to the people inside the business.

Radical openness

  • Being open builds trust, holding things back builds distance.
  • Cut out assumption and hearsay. When in doubt, check with the person who actually knows.
  • Chasing the truth means owning your mistakes. Putting one on the table early deserves credit, not blame.

Empowered judgement

  • Good people should be fully empowered to use their own judgement, including the ones already inside the business.
  • Data-informed, not data-driven. Analytics tell you what happened, not what to do.
  • The work is art and science together, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling one of them.

Focused excellence

  • We work on what is actually in our hands and refuse to be pulled around by the rest.
  • Whatever is in our hands, we deliver with pride. Focus is what turns effort into excellence.
  • We are judged on excellent outcomes, not on excellent process.

Deliberately different

  • We do not copy what the market is doing. We would rather be the thing other people study.
  • Re-evaluate, refine, repeat. Nothing we build is finished, including this page.
  • No room for mediocrity anywhere in the stack.

People first

  • Be kind. We are people first and operators second, and everyone has bad days.
  • Parents, partners, children, closest friends. These relationships define a life and they come first.
  • Assume good intent. Assuming the opposite is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Operating principles

We are the agents

  • The intent is the operator's. The tools serve it, never the reverse.
  • Use technology to the limit but stay sharp. You are the axe, not the handle.
  • Never become the executor of someone else's plan.

Craft beauty in

  • The work deserves beauty, including the parts nobody sees.
  • Only you can put your version of it into the world.
  • Doing it well takes effort and mastery. We celebrate both.

Stay charming

  • Being decent and light carries a build further than being right.
  • Leave the room better than you found it.
  • We all overestimate how well we are understood. Say it again, plainly.

Think then relentless

  • The more say we have, the more carefully we use it.
  • We take our time deciding the right move.
  • Once we know, we are relentless.

Means not end

  • We build with agents because they work, not because we like them.
  • We are not here to sell architecture, model names or dashboards.
  • We build systems that run systems.

Ambitious and credible

  • We are not afraid to be extremely ambitious.
  • We are meticulous about a plan we believe ourselves.
  • Every step is understood before an owner funds it.

We own it

  • We have built companies, sold them, and carried the P&L ourselves.
  • We think like owners because we have been one, and usually still are.
  • Every task has one owner with real authority, and we name other people's contribution before our own.
